Ok Here's a first. The windshield washer nozzle on my 2010 Ram was spitting out the rectangular insert that dispersed the fluid onto my windshield. I kept shoving it back in until two days ago, when it disappeared. I went to my dealer and purchased a new nozzle for $21.00. What a rip off! Anyway, I had to remove two retainers on the hood insulation to get to the hose and nozzle from underneath. The old nozzle began to crumble as soon as I attempted to defeat the retaining flanges. It broke off into to hose. But all is well. The remainder of the nozzle was pulverized when I applied a pair of needle nose and fell away when I inverted the tube. I inserted the new nozzle and reattached the supply tube. The most agonizing part of this project was trying to find replacement retainers for the two that broke when I had to remove them. $4.00 later I stumbled upon Toyota and Nissan retainers at Advance Auto that worked just as well. Anything that keeps me away from the dealers parts desk is a win. Okay, just sharing.

I broke two of the pins that hold the hood insulation pad on when I installed a hood light. had some plastic push pins from Lowes. You know the section in the screw department, it has all kinds of drawers. Keep looking around there and you'll see all kinds of fasteners, most of them are just a few cents, to a few bucks. Maybe even The Home Depot will have them, I know they have all the drawers of screws.
