I know this post is old, but my 2015 RAM 2500 doesn't turn off if you remote start it (which I have never done on purpose) and it will run itself out of fuel... Maybe somebody wants to trade electronics with me lol. My remote doesn't even have a remote start button and I didn't even know that it existed on the truck, but sometimes my keys or change or something in my pocket will hit the right combo and the truck will be running and it Definitely doesn't turn off after 15 minutes (once, a full tank of diesel was all the way down to below the redline by the time I found out). I actually just want to disable mine.

 

The reason they limit it is in case someone starts it in a closed garage......You don't want to kill a family with carbon monoxide. Not all trucks park outside.......
