There are 2 different widths for the 17" wheels. The regular 2WD are 7" wide and I believe the 4x4s are 7.5". So before you use someone elses experience, double check they are both the same width.

The sticker on my '13 Outdoorsman says 17x7.... I'd love to avoid the expense of new wheels when I go up to 285's if I can stick with the stock wheels.

You are correct, I just remember a previous discussion about the 17' wheels and tires. There are 2 sizes the 17x7 (WFX) and the 17x8 (WF6).

And Here it is after I put on my Plasti Dipped Wheels Skins. I love the look and IMO it is the perfect size for this truck

NICE! Great to see that size on these wheels!
They look great, like you said, match the truck without looking too big like we all want. Like the wheel skins too! Save you the time of painting/repainting the wheel thats for sure. Where'd you get those?

Those Load E Wrangler All-Terrain's or P rated SilentArmor's? Can't tell 100% from the pic, Goodyear also made it tough to tell the difference. Haha.

Those are the New Goddyear A/T Adventurer with Kevlar. They are 10 ply E rated.
They replaced the Silent Armour I believe. Nothing like the Original Wranglers that came on the truck. Supposed to be great in snow and the reviews I read were pretty good and with $160 rebate on em I could not pass them up.

The wheel skins were the best thing I bought for this truck. They came chrome and looked pretty much like I had chrome clads when I first put them on, they fit like a glove. But I left them on the first winter and they got pitted so I plastidipped them and voila! I have new Black wheels.

I got them here:

Do you have to run them down on pressure to keep them from high centering or is the tread patch relatively stiff enough to not need it?

I am running them at 50 PSI and seems to be a good pressure.

Guy at tire store told me you can go 25% higher than what the truck calls for before the TPMS sensor trips

Good to hear that they aren't bowing @ normal pressures!! Solidifies me going with a set of 285/70's myself in a few weeks.
