Hi All:
I have had the truck for about three months,2150 Mi., today all the functions except the two rear windows, do not work. No mirror adjustment, no door open/lock, no front window up/down, on the drivers control panel work, nothing! I have an appointment Tuesday to fix.


Any one else have this problem?

Module connection/plug may have come unlatched...???
Dunno, not a common issue that i`ve ever seen... let the dealer figure it out... thats why you have a warranty.

 

Except for the fact dealers usu always find something else that is wrong or nothing wrong at all. Plus, IDK about your dealers around you guys, but around here it takes them quite a while to even get to your vehicle to inspect it.

That's why we try to use forums to help each other out

 

Guess you need a different dealer.

 

Maybe you need one. I don't need a dealer at all. I've done all my own electrical and mechanical for years. No one has ever touched my truck. I've got a spare engine (custom built) and a trans (beefed up a lil) in the shop wrapped in plastic.

The only thing you need a dealer for is to sell you a ride and normally they aren't very good at that either.

Not tryin to stop you from bashing them, i`m just glad to see someone else speak up about it. As for the OP and his module issue, he likely might not have the tools or know how to fix his own problems like you or i can. Like you said, we`re here to help and also speak some truth while we`re here too, even though some people might not like it.

I think my option on how i reference a dealer or shop is mild in comparison to how others are, well, a bit more extreme. Feel free to go through my posts and see how many times i talk about a dealer. Some people be dealer ***** while others just believe you're better managing your own property yourself.

No one starts out with a full toolbox and cabinets. Growing up my dad always said to either learn how to do it yourself or have a job good enough to pay someone else to do it.

Oldjeep knows what I'm talking about. He has had his hands dirty with several large projects

 

Hi All:
OP here and an update. I took the truck in on Tuesday at 7:00 A.M. they called at 10:30 and said it was something wrong in the module and they have to replace it, but they do not know when it would come in, as it has to come in from back east, I am in Nevada, I can still use the truck so come and get it and we will call you when we get it.
So the wait begins.

Hi All:
Just a follow up from the OP. The truck was fixed on Dec.27when the part came in. I posted the problem to see if this was a common occurrence, not to open up a discussion on dealer/do-it yourself. My dealer is very good to me as this is a small town about 45 miles n/w of Las Vegas, they rely on a lot of "word of mouth" business.
