Is there any way a transfer case with a lockable differential can be installed in a 2009 Dodge Power Wagon?

 

Not sure what you're asking, a transfer case and a differential are two different things, what are you trying to accomplish?

 

I would like to improve my Gen 4 Power Wagon's all terrain capability by installing permanent 4WD with a lockable dif in the transfer case (like the NV244 series cases found in the Durango).

My question is - is there a transfer case, similar in action to the NV244 series cases, but which can be installed in the PW (hopefully with little or no fuss) and which is strong enough to not be the weak link in the drive train? Such a case will provide my truck with permanent 4WD for better traction in a mildly slippery environment, perhaps with a small gas consumption penalty, plus, with the diff locked, it will provide the same locked drive shafts that the factory installed case does, and it will also permit the use of the locking axle diffs. All in all a useful upgrade, IMHO.

I also drive a highly modified Land Rover Range Rover in which I have installed limited slip diffs (front and rear axles). I have been in some tough terrain with this rig and have never really needed locking diffs, although there have been occasions when their use would have made life a whole lot easier.
