Default Aftermarkey Keyless Entry on ST Rams

So I have a question in regards to installing an aftermarket keyless unit. I bought a Pyle-PWD701 keyless entry but I still yet to figure out how to wire this in my 09 Ram 1500 ST. I understand that the truck is negative triggered lock so I attached two new wires to the plug number 5 wire on the passenger door (purple with green) with one having a 330ohm resistor and the other one with a 100ohm resistor so now do I attach both of these wires to the green negative door trigger wire only? It doesnt work this way. This Keyless unit doesnt have the lock/unlock wires...will someone please help me on this one?!? The other wirings are correct and I also even went as far as sending the first unit back as a DOA item in which they replaced for free. Im on my second unit and I still cant figure this out. HELP!

Why would you hack into the wiring for aftermarket keyless entry when you can just buy the factory setup that plugs in for $84?

Because some of us can find a keyless entry unit for a lot cheaper!

Well, have fun with that. Nothing like cobbling up the wiring in a 25K + truck to save a couple bucks. Since you are installing the 2nd one now I can only assume that your time is worth nothing.

I said good luck - just pointing out the foolishness of what you are trying to do given the alternatives. I build vehicles from scratch, so working on them isn't the problem I'm seeing with what you are attempting.

I'd suggest calling the manufacture of the "kit" since it is unlikely that anyone has installed that exact unit when there is a cheap factory solution.

Did that...their customer service department is lacking and it was hard to understand them...seemed like every time I get through to talk to a person, they have an accent that is so hard to understand. :-/..this truck is my work/hauler truck I just want the conveniency of the keyless in it and also soon to go to my oldest son when he's old enough to get his license...I have a 2013 Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 that's just mine and a 2012 Subaru Legacy for winter driving (wife) both with remote starts...which we installed ourselves. Im just at a lost on this 09.

I installed a Code alarm unit on my 2008 which had all the relays integrated(for the door modules and starter interupt). I used a bypass module which works off canbus. I only had to hook up like 3 wires at the steering column and then program it. It does all the lockin/unlocking.etc via canbus and I did NOT have to give up any of my keys.

Using a cheap unit made for simplistic 1980's vehicles will only give you TONS of problems in these newer canbus vehicles. You'll end up frying something.
I opted to go with e VSS system all pre-prepped and programmed for my specific vehicle. Cost was about $80 more but install was a breeze with the directions and connectors all provided. I did the same for my 2003 LeSabre and my wife's 2011 Subaru. I got them at AutoAlarmPro.com Derek(owner) is very knowledgeable and I have talked with him several times. Service there is top notch! You should be able to get a complete out the door package for $200shipped. They give clear concise instructions and install only takes 3hr at most!

BTW. I didnt go with OEM start on the Subaru because it was $350 plus install($600w/tax) and the fact that when you open the door it shuts off. Terrible feature)
What I did was use the key in a box bypass module and stuffed the valet key in there. I also de-activated OEM alarm because it was triggering randomly. Everything works great!

I think I'm just going to fork up the money and buy the same remote starter as in my 2013 Ram since I've already installed one without a hitch. I'll give it a week or two before giving up on this Pyle keyless entry if no one has any idea.

Pyle used to be good back in the 80's but it's all a pile now. It's archaic. There's much better technology than that stuff.
Yes, I realize it will get the job done, but it's reliability and method of install is outdated.
I'd sell it and get something modern for your brand new truck.
