Default 2010 Hemi H2O pump

I have a 2010 1500 with a Hemi. My water pump just went out at 57,000 miles. It is still under warranty but found out to day that the H2O pump is on back order and est date to get one is April 4th. anyone out there know what the deal is with this. I am not at all very happy right now. This is my 5th dodge truck over the past 15 years and might be my last after this problem that came up today with this part. Thanks for any info on this Frankie

1st problem in 15 years to come to the forums and complain about. That doesn't sound so bad.

All manufactures have back ordered parts from time to time. I wouldn't be to concerned, I'd rather have them put original equipment parts in than have them go down the street and get a run of the mill auto parts store replacement.

Try to talk them into giving you a loner, they may be willing because you have to wait.

I spoke three times with Dodge and all said they were hoping to have it here by april 4th. I just traded it in on a new 2500 6.7 they treated me right with the situation i was in almost a month with no truck.......all is good

Backordered parts are the norm now. Trust me, it pisses me off too.

thanks to "just in time" delivery, this is going to be the norm for everything. no one cares to cover the cost of a little inventory to keep customers happily up and running.
