Default LED headlights, any good?

http://www.highbeamoffroad.com/headlight-bulbs/9005-headlight-pair

I came across this website selling drop in LED headlight upgrades and am thinking of ordering a set. I have LED fogs on my Jeep and they are awesome, but the pattern of light they throw makes it so I can't use them onroad. Was just wondering if anyone has tried LEDs in factory housings.

LEDs do not have a good focal point. Meaning, the origional housings are made for a halogen with a 360 degree light, LEDs do not give that, so you will have hot spots and the light will look awful.

Thats what I was expecting to hear. Unless the housings are meant for that type light, they hardly ever work.

You are better off with HIDs, or get some brighter Halogens. OR you could retro fit projectors for the HIDs, which is the best. You could also buy after market headlights too.

Yeah, those leds are all completely useless for anything other than looks. Better halogen bulbs or hid projectors (not pnp hids) are the way to go.
