Required maintenance on a "Certified pre owned" Ram?
I have about 46k on my 11' which i bought at just over 40k miles. As far as i know the plugs have never been changed. The Car Fax does not show them being changed nor does any dealer record.
I bought the truck as a certified pre owned from a Dodge dealer and asked why they didn't change the plugs. They claim that certifying a pre owned truck does not require that maintenance requirements listed by Dodge be done. This seems odd to me. They said "The truck runs fine" which i do happen to agree with. But the maintenance recommendation does not say "Not required if truck runs fine"
I searched the net as best as i could and could not find anything that lists whether manufacturers recommended maintenance work is supposed to be performed on a certified pre owned vehicle. Does anybody know the deal with this?

I got a checklist that Dodge has the dealer use when certifying the vehicle. I asked the salesman how I would know it was certified and he gave me a copy of the checklist and I called Dodge corporate to verify. Pics attached. It's pretty much the only way you know the truck is certified and meets the Dodge standard. My Ram was shy of 32,000 miles when I bought it. Spark Plugs are not listed. I had them change them as part of the sale. I also had them change the rear diff as part of the sale. If you did not get this checklist I would go back and ask for it. If they cannot produce it I would call Dodge corporate and verify your Ram is in fact certified. I was screwed once in the past with a GMC that was supposedly certified, come to find out it was not. I had to take the dealer to court. Thank goodness it worked out for me.

I changed my plugs at 38K and they looked like they were new. I would not worry about it until around 60K at the earliest. They are a pain to change but once you do it once you can get it down to under an hour and a half. Never put anything other than the standard copper core plugs in the Hemi. No other plug will give you any increase in mileage or real time performance no matter what anyone says.
I do have a copy of that for my truck. But like you mentioned, Spark Plugs are not even listed on the checklist. Nor is anything that says point blank "All factory recommended maintenance procedures have been performed". I was hoping their would be something in black and white that says if they are in fact required to perform the service.
Let's face it, all certified used vehicles are just like any other used vehicles but they get a very thorough "check". Any mechanic will do the same thing for you on any used vehicle. It's a just a check-list.
Dealers RARELY do any maintenance of fluids when reselling. Oil change is pretty much it. They automatically put that expense on the buyer.
At 40kmi, both diffs, t-case and brake fluid should have been flushed and replaced by now plus the spark plugs, air filter and cabin filter.
