Your drive shaft covered in rust is also normal. It's unpainted so it develops surface rust. But it has no impact on strength. The rust actually becomes a protective layer to inhibit further corrosion. Just leave it be and don't worry.

The 2010 Ram's have a 3 year unlimited mile warranty on rust. Seeing as it's almost 2015 i would say the answer to your question is no.

As mentioned, driveline surface rust is normal and actually there by design. The rust particles on the body is rail rust from transport. Clay bar will take it out, then hit with a paint polish then wax...

Default My rusting 2013 Dodge lonhorn.

My truck is only a lease but was planning on making a long term purchase once the lease was up on another new Ram but kinda thinking twice about it now.
My truck is a Dodge long horn fully loaded. With options it was over $63000 in 2013. It is waxed and shined . It is one with gold colour bumpers and trim. The gold on bumpers is coming off. The rear bumper is rusted and the paint can be peeled off like a banana skin. I tried to deal with Chrysler but the warranty covers rust through not rust peeling my paint off. Can not picture this being great advertisement for their top of the line gas truck. Makes me want to see how much I can get for it on a trade.

I like my truck but not the rusted bumpers or making payments and paying to have a paint job. Chrysler can do better.

My longhorn fully loaded 2013 was 63000 new. Has rust on both bumpers. The rust on the rear bumper is peeling the paint off like a banana peel from the edge back. Dodge says not cover by guarantee. Think this needs to told to new costumers before they pay that much. Love my truck. Hate the rust.
