Default Seat repair 2009 Ram Hemi

The driver's seat (cloth) on my 2009 has got a worn spot at the edge of the seat on the side where you exit the truck. In and out of the truck all day long. There is a narrow rip about 2" long. This is the first vehicle I've had in about 20 years with cloth seats...any available DIY options to repair it? Doesn't have to be perfect (but no duct tape please...) Truck is in great shape and just trying to stay on top of stuff like this. Appreciate any input.

Should be able to just buy a new seat skin from Dodge and install it yourself. Kind of odd the seat is wearing already, mine still look new after 108K

The Leather drivers seat cushion cover in my 09 is starting to wear and crack, but it looks better then the leather in my 04 Tahoe did after 2 years; The covers are available on Dodge parts.com , I think the cloth cover is about 150.00, leather 450.00.......

Thanks for the comments. I'll look into a new seat cover as opposed to trying to repair the existing one. Price looks reasonable. As far as wear, I've got 215,000 km (about 135,000 miles) on the truck and the seats look great except for the one wear spot on drivers seat. Figure it's because I'm in an out of the truck all day, and I'm 6'1" 215 pounds...

It isn't difficult to remove and replace the seat covering. I had to do it to replace a partially failed driver's side seat heating pad. The Cliff notes version is: unbolt seat, disconnect all wiring harnesses, remove seat, turn over, cut hog rings, remove seat cover. Replacement is straightforward too, as long as you remember where all the original hog rings went and replace them, and then clip all the plastic clips back in place. Need a hog ring pliers and rings, obviously.
