Default Seat relocation

I have a 2012 Ram 1500 crewcab and I know they are roomy but I am a big guy with knee and weight issues so here is my question. I would like to move the driver's seat back about 2 inches but have had no experience with something like this. I looked at the brackets and they are shaped to the floor boards so I am unsure how to go about it. Has anyone done this so I don't reinvent the wheel. Thanks in advance for any possible assistance.

Might be tough since the rear bolts are horizontal and being a "big guy" isn't likely to work very well if you just install some spacers and longer bolts there with some typical seat relocator brackets in the front.

I thought about maybe a piece of 1/4 x 1 flat stock that bolts down to the bracket and allows the seat to bolt to the flat stock 2" to the rear from the original position. I haven't looked at it very close just rambling.

i'm curious about the same/similar thing.

at 6'5, my head barely hits the ceiling with the seat in the lowest position, when sitting straight up. for basically the biggest truck on the market, i think that's a little ridiculous.

had an old acura integra with the same problem, and i ended up unscrewing the seat bolts from the floor and moving them down and back and then re-bolting with a through bolt to the underside. would rather avoid that somewhat ghetto option here.

That's exactly what a company did for Jeep TJ's, made adapters out of 1/4" steel to move the mount point back 3-4"

They were called 'Big Man Sliders' or 'Tall Man Sliders'

Sorry I don't recall the company, sent all the paperwork with the Jeep when it sold last week.

Not Skid Row, it was 'Misch' http://www.misch4x4.com/bigboy_brackets.html
