2500 gas tank too small
Hi folks,
I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 6.4 gas, mega cab, with a 6.6 bed. I drive a lot for my company and HATE having to stop twice a day to fuel up the truck.
I've scoured the internet looking for advice on how to install/add a bigger GAS...not diesel fuel tank. Nobody seems to make them for gas.
I have a cap on the box of my truck as well.
My question is: Has anybody ever installed any aftermarket set up for this problem?
If so...what kind of a set up did you use?...Diesel and just filled with gas?..i cant seem to figure out the "venting" issues with a cap on my truck.
Very little experience with this stuff...lol

have you checked out https://titanfueltanks.com/ ? they seem to have the widest variety of aftermarket tank options on the market. they list a 56 gallon replacement tank for the 2014 model, plus additional in bed options for additional storage.
I work in AB Canada and a lot of guys have steel aux. tanks for their diesels in the bed of the truck and tied into the filler neck via an electric solenoid valve so they can fill on the go. The tanks they use are usually an additional 75-100 gallons. I don't see why that wouldn't work for a gas application?
good luck

Thanks for the reply rdculus!
I have checked with Titan. They do not make a bigger GAS tanks for my truck. they told me. In bed options are only for diesel, not gas. fumes and vapors are the biggest problem. Figured this day in age it would be as simple as picking up the phone and just ordering one! But scoured all over, and seems to be no easy answer for a bigger actual GAS tank!

Thankfully I can get about 700 highway miles out of the 32 gallon tank in my CTD if not towing or hauling. I do, however agree that in the gasser, the tank needs to be larger. I think the engineers thought with MDS the 6.4 would do better in the MPG department than real world applications are getting.
It appears the DOT and EPA don't allow simple gravity flow tanks like you can get for diesel applications but Transfer Flow has re-fueling tanks from 40 to about 80 gallons for the 2013+ Ram 2500/3500 gasser...
