Default 10 ply tires on half ton

Has anyone put 10 ply tires on a 1500 half ton. I have a 2009 4x4 crew cab with Bilstein hieght adjustable shocks on front set at 1 1/2 inches above stock height, love em. Stiffened th front end , still rides great. Are the 10 ply tires going to be too stiff or rough riding and beat me and my truck up??? Thanks guys, have a great day

I have gone that route twice once on an 04 quad cab (10 ply) and again on my current 12 crew cab (8 ply) and neither time was I happy with the ride. Unless you plan to work it a lot I would stick with 6 ply/load range C tires as a maximum. They are somewhat hard to find but I like the lesser sidewall squirm of them and almost no difference in the ride. Unfortunately a set of tires is too expensive and lasts too long to experiment with. Two years and 40,000 miles is a loonngggg time to be unhappy. JMO though others may feel differently.
