Well I hope I don't have to go through that nonsense! I did order a new 2016 ram 2500, and I'm going to douse it with fluid film. But if that one Rusts again, this Chrysler employee will never buy another Chrysler product!

Toyota had problems with frame rusting out on their Tacoma's. They recalled them and rust proofed the frame. It bought them a few years. My buddy had one and his finally rusted through after 16 years. The big difference is Toyota stood by their customers and gave him full value on his trade-in even though the frame was useless. Dodge hasn't stood by their poor craftsmanship at all with these trucks.

Have to DISAGREE.My 2004 dodge ram 2500 had rust around the rear wheel well/box dodge covered all of the cost to the tune of $4,000 bucks to repair it to my satisfaction. My truck was 5 years old at the time and had 68,000 miles on the OD.My truck came with the 7/70,000 warranty. My auto tranny took a dump at 72,000 miles and my dealer went to bat for me and dodge replaced that also my cost was $100 bucks.IMHO they stood behind there product one BIG reason I just purchased a 2016 ram 2500.

The current rust warranty is 5 years and it has to rust through for them to cover it. My painted bumper had the paint start bubbling up around the back-up sensors at 4 years. Dealer said "Hope it rusts through by 5 years!" It didn't and Ram wouldn't fix it.

My bumper started rusting around the step pad...probably from vibration of plastic and rubbed into the paint...I just purchased a new bumper and had it painted..I undercoated and hope it will help.

Dodge covered the bumper on my '10 when it bubbled after 3 years... now they're doing my right box side when it bubbled after 5 years. I took it in a week after warranty expired, so I'm happy they stepped up.

I am curious if folks who have Krown'd since day 1 are avoiding these issues or not.

Default Unhappy with rust on truck

There is definitely something wrong with the paint prep and/or quality of steel.
not from salt or prep. Recycled steel and the manufacturing. Bull****. Should have been a recall and fixed. My 08' has 90,000 miles and it won't pass inspection because of rust over back tires. This was my second new dodge and last.
