Default needed warranty 13 days after it expired!

Ok, so ive been having an issue with my ram, a noise it was making, due to financial issue ignored the problem for a few months. I take it to dealer this week on 3-23-2015. And it turns out my warranty expired on 3-10-2015. And there is no way Dodge will honor it. Spoke to dealer and to dodge 800 #. $600 vs $100 deductable is a big deal when your broke! Lol

Ps. Just needed to vent, i know its my fault. Oh and the problem is broken bolts on exhaust Man. And new gasket.

I thought the 2009s had a lifetime powertrain warranty? Are you not the original owner?

Strange that they wouldn't at least meet you partway on the expense since it was so close to the warranty expiration. Lots of brands will comp things as a courtesy when it is so close.

I agree, it's odd they would just tell you NO without any negotiation. Did you openly admit to them that you ignored the issue?

I bought the truck dodge certified used in 2011, came with 6yr/80k mile powertrain. Yes i did admit the problem was there before. I guess i messed up, at the time it seemed like a good idea, tbh i really do know better, the less you say the better

Nothing wrong at all with being up front with people, that's the honest thing to do. It's just too bad they wouldn't help you out at all.

How many miles are on your truck? It certainly hasn't been 6 years.

Did you take it to the dealer you bought it from? If not, do it, if so, try another dealer, our service manager does "goodwill" warranty on tons of stuff, the manager makes the call.

Truck has 75k on it. It reached 6 years on 3-10-15. I took it to another dealer then where i purchased, mainly cause its closer
