Blower motor not working
I have a 2011 ram 1500 slt. my blower motor is not working, the lights on the switches come on. The a/c and air recirculating lights. Also with the switch on the a/c compressor comes on, however the blower motor does not come on. About a year ago the #2 speed on the switch stopped working but 1,3,4 did work. My a/c was working the other day, I stopped for about 20 minutes started my truck and the blower would no longer come on. I"m not sure which fuse to check for the blower motor. I did check the blower motor resistor and found it rusted out. I replaced the resistor but the blower motor still will not work. Could this still be the switch or blower motor. With a test light I have power to the plug on the blower motor but I had power to it even with the resistor out, I guess it works by ground ? Do I have to pull the plug off of the switch and plug it back in to reset it after replacing the resistor ?
Thanks in advance.

As stated in my question I replaced the blower motor resistor. However the blower motor still did not come on.
Finally had a chance to pull out the blower motor, Hooked it to my battery direct and it blew full speed, so the blower motor works, I'm thinking now it must be in the switch !
Put the blower motor back in and plugged the wire harness back in with the key on and it started to work
blowing great and now all 4 speeds work again . AH to have a/c working again with temps in the upper 80's - low 90's.
If it stops again I will have to assume there is a burnt spot on the armature and will have to replace the motor.

I can't speak to the 2011's but on my 2005 I had a similar problem with the blower motor cutting out at random times. I had the shop trouble shoot under extended warranty they traced it to the ignition switch. It was strange that tilting the steering wheel had an effect on the blower and I never could make that connection when I was trying to figure it out.
Anyway check out the ignition switch and wiring to it and see if you can reproduce the problem. I think it could be worth a try. I had the switch replaced years ago and the problem never has come back.

I can't help you regarding troubleshooting it. But if you find that the blower motor is the problem I can tell you that replacing it is pretty easy. I had to replace mine when it started screeching at certain speeds. Not a cheap thing... around $100 or so. New part came with instructions, I believe, and they were pretty straightforward to replace.
