Default battery replacement

my '09 CC Ram with a build date of dec 2008 still has the original battery. Still cranks right up but I'm thinking that it won't last much longer.

Last battery I bought for my other car ('02 vette) was a Sears Die Hard Platinum. I'm thinking of getting one for my Ram soon.

What is everyone else running?

when the time comes, I am going with OEM for our 2011... unless there is something better out there. a sears platinum is a good choice though. the rest of our rides get average (non platinum) batteries.

Wait till it fails. I had a 3 year everstart battery (Walmart brand) last 7 years. When it went out, replaced with the same battery.

I have always had good luck with Interstate Batteries. The Megatron Plus or better will be replacing mine when the time comes.

I haven't needed to change the battery in my '10 Ram yet but I, too, am a fan of the Walmart Everstart Maxx batteries.

I had one go 10 years, 6 months in my old Benz.

Still running the original on my 09 - 125K or so and no signs of any issues even after sitting outside through MN winters since I got it. I'll buy another of whatever is in there when the time comes.

Battery is marked as Chrysler P/N 05033392AA

625 CCA with 140 RC

Vendor code 44949F

So I looked up the vendor code and it came up as the Chrysler vendor code for Johnson Controlls

Yes, Johnson Controls makes batteries for OEM applications in the Americas and Europe. They also make Optima batteries.

My 1997 F150's battery went 14 years, and I'm from Canada where it gets REALLY cold! Replaced the battery (Motorcraft I think) and that same battery was used in an ice racer for two seasons.
Sometimes you get a good one and sometimes you don't.
