Question Horn, Steering wheel controls not working

My 2009 RAM 1500 Laramie has been at dealer's for almost 2 months... The horn and all steering wheel controls stop working within 48 hours of fixing. Something is shorting them out. Also the overhead lights go out a the same time. It seems to fail as soon as the truck starts with the light switch on Auto. They've replaced the "clock spring", TIPM and several parts in between with no luck. Now they set extra fuses (smaller than normal) in all the paths to find what is shorting out. Still no luck. Anyone have an idea of what they should check?

Welcome to the forum, Serhardt8247.

Do you know if they have been in touch with our corporate engineers or any other resources through FCA?

They have been in contact with FCA. After several phone calls they looked "harder" and found a electrical short in an area in the back of the truck where a repair to an accident was made. The electrical short was NOT in a "logical path" from the steering wheel to the front of the truck, it occurred in the back passenger area when the truck moved certain ways. Found finally, now determining if the original accident claim applies.

Thanks for your help and interest.
