Default Outlaw LED headlights

Has any one tried these or heard anything about them? They look to be a great buy but I can't find any reviews on them and I'm a little concerned about the heat sinks.

Thanks, there's some good info there but other than the picture you posted, I don't see an answer to my question. Trying to find out if the heat sinks on those LEDs does what it's intended to do.

I would opt for this style

http://www.xenondepot.com/H11-LED-he...h11-led-hl.htm

I've seen and used these particular bulbs and they are super bright and well designed.
They use the better Philips LED's athat are 2500Lumens at the base each. That's 5000 lumens.
Lumens listed on website.

Are these direct plug-in replacements for the stock bulbs? They don't have ballasts like HIDs, I assume?

Any comparisons to HIDs in terms of brightness and color temp?

Yes, direct plug n play.
They do have little driver modules.
They are definately as bright as HIDs in non-conforming housings if not brighter.
I can get super technical here, but this is a truck forum not an Electronics class..lol
To keep things simple....I have seen several car with these exact bulbs. They are ridiculously bright. If too bright is not what you want, then buy something else. You will most likely have to aim your headlights down for halogen housings.
XenonDepot's bulbs color temp are stated to be 5000k. They are white with light blue hue hint.
Here's a couple pics I found with those LED lights.

HID's are old news. My 2016 WRX came stock with Kioto LED projectors. LED is where it's at granted as long as you buy correct type that is of good quality.
LED's are instant on. They will not burn out on you for the time you own your vehicle. They are not sensitive to hand oils like HID, they will not require any special wiring harness like HID's. If you need canbus module, they are an additional pulg'n'play unit Inline.

Thanks for the info. I just noticed your truck is a 2008. So you have them in a 3rd Gen, not 4th Gen?

Neither. Truck has been gone for over a year.

My cousin has a set in his Focus(halogen housings). These were ridiculously bright.
I installed a set on my '15 Legacy briefly(in projector housings) Output was somewhat scattered but very bright, and other set on a friends F-150(halogen housings) and they were ridiculously bright.

If you have Projector housings, you may want to stick with HID retrofits. You'll get a more focus beam pattern with much less scatter. If you have standard old school open bowl Halogen housings, then go with the LEDs.

Just go with them, you wont be disappointed.
Hope this helps.
