Default Rims

I have a 2015 big horn 4x4. I want to have a second set of tires and rims to use during hunting season. The truck came with 20" rims, can I go to a smaller rim like a 17" that comes on the more base truck, or is there something that prohibits doing this such as brake calipers etc?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

Yes you can go down to the factory 17" wheel as the brakes are the same diameter.

Thanks, one of the tire places my son checked with told him he couldn't go down, it didn't seem right to me.

I had 17" wheels on my truck before I took them off and put the factory 20" wheels on with LT275/65r20 Duratracs which are 34" tires.

My '11 came stock with 20" wheels and I bought a set of '09 used 17" wheels for my snow tires. Works great, just needed to change the TPMS sensors.

We did the same thing for TPMS on brother's 2012, pretty easy swap and fits perfectly. Sitting on 17" wheels just got better for NY streets and some muds.
