Default Tires and Towing suggestions. Thinking of going for 20" to 18"

I'm sure this has probably been discussed quite a bit but I thought I would ask anyways. I have a 2011 Ram 1500 CC 2WD Big Horn and I tow a 36' Travel Trailer that weighs about 7k. I have not put new tires on it yet since she only has 34k miles. I was thinking of going to an 18' rim but don't want to lose the ride, look or performance i get when I tow. At the moment the Truck tows phenomenal and I don't want to mess anything up. I also like how much the current wheel takes up the space and the height of my truck. But, there are a lot of nice 18" rims out there.....Just looking to see if anyone has had experience with this or made this change? Thanks

Not a Bad Option. The bigger the Wheel, generally the worst it tows. My Dad has a 2015 Dodge Ram with 20" Rims, I have a 2010 with 17" rims. We both have Nitto Terra Grappler G2's and both have the 5.7L. Outside of the much better 8-Speed Transmission, My Truck Tows so Much Better. I have towed 28' Flat Bed w/ Weight Distributing Hitch, and man was my truck so much smoother. Bumps were soaked up by the additional rubber.

Thats Just my 2 cents...

17" is a factory option and what I have on my 09. I much prefer having more tire than rim both for ride quality and more durability in terms of curbs.
