Default ESP/BAS in 4wd Low Range

I have a 2010 Ram 1500 4wd. When I put it in low range, an ESP/BAS indicator comes on in the information center. The dealer mechanic says this is normal in low range. Can someone tell me if this is truly normal? The manual says if it comes on and stays on at speeds above 30 mph and doesn't go away after repeated cycling of ignition then it is a problem and take it to the dealer.

Default Same but different

Hi guys, just registered to chime in here but not with a solution yet. I have a 2010 Ram 1500 Laramie. The Laramie part is significant because I understand they are using a different transfer case than the rest of the 2010's. Maybe unrelated but for what it's worth my tcase is a NV246.

I'm experiencing same ESP BAS / ESC system off when i flip to 4 Low on 5 spd electronic transfer case however I've had issues leading up to this. Sept 2015 driving across Canada I was suddenly stuck in neutral on highway (regardless of transmission position) and had to replace the transfer case motor in Thunder Bay. That worked well for a year, I rarely use 4x4 but when i wanted it this fall it was gone gone again. This time I had 2x4 but no 4x4 and flashing beeping SRV 4X4 light. Code reader gave me C104D for open tcase motor circuit and dealer said replace tcase motor which I did under warranty with Doorman. With the new motor I now only have 2 x 4 and 4 auto. The light goes on for 4 high on the dash but I only have power to rear wheels. When I go to 4 Low I am getting the ESP BAS / ESC. Code reader continues to give me C104D.

I'm not sure whether a got a second bad tcase motor from Doorman or have a different issue causing this but I suspect the latter. My mechanic also told me that there is an option in the computer of these trucks where you can tell it what tire size you are running that would not accept his inputs. Combing the forums I hear lots of complaints about wheel sensors and may try that as next path of troubleshooting if its not too spendy. Hope this helps, please let me know if you find a solution and I'll do the same. Only having 4 auto in Canadian winter is sketch as it's constantly engaging and disengaging as I flail down the highway.
