Default Having trouble finding a lift kit for a 2017 ram 1500 4x4 scsb

Good evening all,

I'm a new member to the forum boards

I just purchased a new 2017 Ram 1500 4wd Express single cab & short bed last weekend. I've been searching google to no end and have only found maybe a half dozen of 4TH Gen single cab & short bed lifted trucks on the forum boards.

I was looking into purchasing the Superlift lift kit until I talked with the salesman on the phone. He told me they wouldn't recommend anything bigger then there 4" lift kit. They also expressed if I did end up purchasing the 4" lift kit, that I should also look into buying some adjustable upper control arms. This will correct the rear pinion angle to eliminate any chance of rear drive shaft vibrations.

Next I called up Zone to see what they had to say about there lift kits. Their response was either the 4" or 6" lift kits would be fine and I shouldn't have any problems at all with rear drive shaft vibrations.

I had also talked to the Tech at the Ram dealer Friday night where I had purchased my truck about the Mopar(rebrand Superlift). He knew nothing about any problems with the lift kit. He also said if I installed aftermarket rear upper control arms onto the truck with the Mopar lift that it would void my manufacture warranty.

I did talk to a different Ram dealer on Saturday as well. They agreed with the Superlift statement about the possible rear drive shaft issues. He also said that even with using the rear adjustable upper control arms they can get the pinion angle close to factory specs but not right on target. They also surprised me with the lowest quote for a lift kit installation at $950 along with headlight adjustments, speedometer calibration and an alignment. He his getting back to me Monday for the cost of rear upper control installation and rear pinion angle adjustments needed.

BDS and RCX just do the song and dance of trying to sell me a product. I can tell by there response to my questions the salesman have zero automotive tech backgrounds.

I was wondering if any other member on the board are currently running a lift kit on the 4TH Gen single cab short bed. If so what brand, height and any other mods to make it all work together in harmony?

Thanks
