Default 2012 Ram SportTraction control won't shut completely off

Hi - I have 2012 Dodge Ram Sport 1500 5.7L. With snow hitting us hard in CT today I was trying to have a little fun on the way home from work. Just got the truck and not sure how to completely turn off the traction control. I have the switch to turn it off and did so, the dash light was on saying it was off, however when I try spinning the tires it doesn't let me, jolts the truck as if I was stuck. The truck is in 2 wheel drive at this point and doesn't have 4 wheel or auto 4 wheel on, so it doesn't make much sense to me. This is a great problem to have I guess, since the truck is doing it's job to not get stuck, however I just wanna have some fun hah. However does anyone know if there is a way to completely turn it off? I've heard some people say press and hold the button as well as hit it like 5 times in a row.

Thanks!
