Front wheel bearing
I have an intermittent grinding noise, that has been diagnosed as a front wheel bearing. My question is how hard is it to replace the right front wheel bearing on a 2009 Dodge 1500 Ram 4 wheel drive with 4 wheel ABS.
Are there any special tools needed to replace this bearing.
I would like to do this myself, if possible.
Help or recommendations would be appreciated

If it's like my Dakota (and I think it is, I looked up the hub/bearing assembly and they are very similar) then it shouldn't be too bad. You can do it.
The wheel bearing is part of the hub assembly, it's one sealed unit. There are three bolts on the back of the hub. First you remove wheel, and brake caliper, and rotor. If 4x4 undo the axle nut. Then undo tie rod end, this will allow you to turn the knuckle to gain access to all three of the bolts holding the hub on. Hopefully you won't have to much corrosion/rust. Sometimes those bolts can be a bear. Corrosion also can make the hub a bear to get out. My passenger side was easy, drivers side took some convincing with a hammer.
Make sure you get the correct hub/bearing assembly. My drivers side had a wire with a speed sensor attached. Passenger side didn't. But remember, I have a Dakota with only rear wheel ABS. Not sure how it is with the Ram, you'll have to check that. But the basic procedure isn't too difficult...basic ratchets, sockets, etc.. If you have a compressor and impact gun/sockets it helps.
