Default A/C Question

My ac started blowing hot air or ambient temp air so i started looking for an indication of a leak cant find anyting engine compartment is always disty hazards of my job. I started smelling a musky smell when the air started blowing so now I'm assuming its the refrigerant. Any ideaas as to where I could continue to look that might be causing the freon to leak into the vents. And ive seen where the leak sealer screws up the compressor any ideas or opinions would be appreciated
