Default brake trailer and park assist no start

2011 1500-- yesterday it would not start, had a red Z looking symbol on dash and has two messages "service trailer brake system and service park assist system. Hooked up scanner, no regular or ABS codes. After a few minutes, with key in the ON position, i was able to turn it on and drive it all day yesterday normally, no issues. It sat overnight and now getting same no start with the same messages. Called dealer and they are swamped. Going to call some other dealers for an appointment but in the meantime anything else i can check? I inspected the back up camera, tailgate loom, trailer connectors, nothing obvious all looks good. The battery or a sensor going out maybe?

Hi chevelle68,

I'm sorry to hear about this! Please let us know if you need any assistance while your truck is in service.

Was told today it is the "totally intergrated module". Needs replacing and they have to order it. We'll see what happens.

picked up the truck today and the receipt shows "replaced totally integrated power module and reconfigured vehicle". It would appear this repair would have been pricey if we did not have the lifetime warranty and only paid $100.
