2017 Ram cabin air filter?

Hi All:
I just traded in my 2015 sport for a 2017 Laramie. I am reading the owners manual and it says to change the cabin air filter at 20,000 miles. Is 2017 the first year for this filter?

Well:
Over 200 views and no response! As we all know GOOGLE is our friend and it said yes 2017 is the first year for a cabin air filter and YOU TUBE even has a how to change it.

I’m really not understanding the point of your question. Why does it matter if 2017 is the first year?

It matters because on my 2009,2013,and 2015 Rams I did the mod for the install of one. Did not want to spend money on my on parts to convert my 2017.

Yes dodge had a write up about what is new for all models in 2017 I can't remember where it was I read it. It is a 5 micron filter for all trim levels.
