My problem is that sometimes when I get into truck and push the heated seat button it comes on and then in about 3 seconds it goes off, other times I can push the button and it stays on. Does anyone know what the cause is please?

My 09 does the same thing. Shut off the truck, restart and it works fine. Someone on another board said it might be the module under the seat.

 

It might the module (little plastic box that is around $200), it might the loose connection or the heading pad itself.
I have same problem I push the button, stays on for like 3 secs and turns off. Doesn't come on even after restarting the truck.
I'm gonna dig into the seat hopefully this month and then I'll make a write up of what I find.
