Default 4.7 spark plugs

Hi all , im new to the forum and hoping to get a little help please...im looking to change the spark plugs on my 2012 4.7 Dodge Ram 1500. I've read that I need a thin wall 5/8 socket as the standard one will not fit in the spark plug hole... Does anyone know where I can get one and has anyone done this before..

Have you actually tried using a standard socket first? Just because you read something somewhere doesn’t necessarily mean it’s gospel. There are also lots of YouTube vids you could research yourself if you can’t get an answer here. Good luck!

Not many 4.7 owners on this forum. You need the thin wall socket and any reputable parts store (NAPA, O'Reillys, etc) will be happy to sell you one.

I did mine not long ago. I used a normal spark plug socket and grinded it so its thin enough to fit in the hole. Worked really well for me
