Default Another Key Fob/Door Lock Problem

2010 Ram 1500 Quad cab, no remote start.
Key fob will not actuate any door locks. Had my fob tested. Battery was 1/2 life, but replaced anyway. Tested fob and it is sending a strong signal. the door lock and unlock buttons work fine. What do I need to look at next?

Do you have a second fob that you can try to see if it works? If it works, then you may need to re-bind your fob to your truck. If the second fob doesn't work, then you probably can stop focusing on the fob and switch to focusing on the module within the truck. Are there any other features of the fob that you can try, like maybe a panic feature?

Thanks, that is where I went with this. I tried my other fob and it works correctly, so the original fob needs to be reprogrammed or replaced. And no features work on the bad fob. I wish there were a less expensive route for reprogramming these things.

If you know someone with a high end scan tool they can probably program it. I have an Autel DS708 and an MT906BT and both have the capability to reprogram fobs and keys.

Thanks, but I don't even know what those tools are. Pardon my ignorance. I think I'm going to replace the bad fob. I don't want to pay to have it programmed to find it won't hold or accept a program.
