paralyzed truck
Good Day
I have an issue with my 2014 Laramie.
I was at the local Wal-Mart and when I came out to leave the truck was completely paralyzed. Would not open with the fob or with the touch lock.
Had to use the actual key on the door which set off the security alarm in the truck. The fob wouldn't deactivate the alarm. The push button wouldn't work to start it. The shift dial was locked as well.
Called my local dealership and all they could say was call roadside assistance. which I did and had it towed to the dealership. By the time it arrived at the dealership it had reset it self.
There was no charge from the dealer as they could not duplicate the problem.
Has anyone ever experenced this before

Sounds to me like the fob was temporarily dead. Maybe you had the fob in you pocket and a button was getting pressed and held down which drained the battery. By the time it arrived at the dealership the surface charge on the fob battery was high enough the proximity and security system could again register the fob.
