You can pull the bulbs out until you find the source of the problem so it wont run your battery down.

I don’t know. Owners manual doesn’t have a fuse listing? Or printed on the fuse box cover?

I'm not sure what year your EcoDiesel is, or if it makes a difference on the wiring, but at least for 2014 the rear license plate lights are controlled by the Body Control Module and are not fused separately.

Are the license plate lights the only exterior lamps that do not shut off when you think they should?

Have you replaced the bulbs with LEDs? I used to have a set of LEDs and in a given circuit there was enough constant voltage that they would stay lit all the time, just a bit dimmer than when actually activated.

OH boy so hear it goes. I have been having electrical issues with lights, and pumps, and brake controlor wiring. I had brought the truck to dealer about a month ago and the issue with the pump had stopped when I brought it in and no codes came up in the scan. Yesterday I was on my way home from NY, after crossing the border my truck just stopped running. All electrical possible codes cam on the dash and I was not able to start the truck. Engine turned, all interior lights, radio all working ok but truck would not start. waited for towing 2hrs, got to dealer of their choice (closest one for them) 229.00 Rented a car for the day. They called this morning and issue was with the wiring harness was rotted out above the DEF tank and body ......They repaired all wiring, and $700,00 later I am rock and rolling.

I had a full warranty 5 years 100000 kms. But I have 177,800kms. So warranty was void. OH well, bad luck for me. I still love my ecodiesel.
