Default Idling issues

I have a 2009 dodge ram 1500 hemi. when truck is warmed up and idling around a normal 5-600 rpms, the idle will slowly raise to 800 rpms. Sometimes from street light to street light it will drop back down to normal, and if sitting there a while it will slowly raise again. Could you shine some light on what this issue might be please?

Sounds like you have a bad/failing IAC and it's hunting.
You could try cleaning the throttle body and IAC and see if that fixes it.
One of the most common symptoms commonly associated with a problematic idle air control valve is irregular idle speed. The idle air control valve is programmed to regulate and maintain the engine idle speed at a constant rate. If the valve fails or has any issues it can cause the idle speed to be thrown off. This may result in an unusually high or low idle speed, or in some cases a surging idle speed that repeatedly climbs and falls.

My 09 Hemi is doing the same thing. It also surges a little during light throttle around 30-35 mph

Gen 4 rams do not have an Idle Air Control valve. The idle is controlled via the electronic throttle. The most likely causes of rough idle is either a dirty throttle body at the butterfly and if the idle rises to 800 rpm, a vacuum leak

My first thought was vacuum issue too on mine. I'll try cleaning the throttle body. If that doesn't help I guess I'll start chasing a vacuum leak.
