When I navigate to the Settings > System Information section of my 2017 RAM UConnect I see the following:

MSID: null
PRL Version: null
ESN: null

On my 2014 Jeep Grand these fields are all populated but on my 2017 RAM they are not. I have Navigation on both. Any idea as to why those fields are all null on the RAM??

 

Does everything work as it should?

 

does one have connected apps (like you can start it from your phone or view data from your phone?), my guess is the one with the data filled in has cellular capability and the one without it doesnt

 

Yes, at least as with everything I have tried doing with it. That's a good question about the apps. I have never tried downloading any to my phone. Both vehicles were purchased used so no idea what the previous owners did with them.

 

I wouldn't worry about it then, but if it is keeping you up at night, maybe swing by and ask the dealer since it's still under warranty.

 

I would take it to the dealership to see what's up with it.

 

Update: I had some time to fool around with the UConn last night and whatever I tapped-on must've updated or "woke it up" because now all of those fields are populated. Thanks all for your input!
