Welcome to the forum. I think the point jkeaton was trying to make is you're going to need to provide A LOT more detail in order for anyone to provide much help. For starters, what year is you Ram? The 4WD systems in newer vehicles can be quite complicated and there are several possible faults that can lead to the "Service 4WD" indication to come on. Have you done anything to determine if the 4WD seems to be working properly, such as getting on a gravel or sandy road to determine if all wheels spin when 4WD is switched on and throttle pressed aggressively and only the rears spin when 4WD is switched of with aggressive throttle? Does the ABS still seem to work properly? When you switch between 2WD and 4WD do the proper indicators indicate the system is trying to change settings? Without knowing what year your Ram is we can't even provide possible common issues that might cause what you're seeing.

Please keep these basics in mind every time when posting in forums. Don't expect folks to remember your vehicle details from one thread to the next, provide that information with each new thread, or add the details in to your signature file so it will automatically get added to each post of yours.
