Trailer brake controler....again
On my former Durango I mounted it to the bottom of the dash straight up from the accelerator. It was within pretty easy reach to make tweaks to the gain if necessary but out of the way enough I never accidentally bumped it with my shin or knee. My Ram has the integrated brake controller, but the dash layout doesn't seem so much different that a controller wouldn't work in the same area.
I'll admit that when trying to find a place to install it that area appeared like it would be in the way, but once installed it was not a problem. If you don't regularly have an issue with your shin or knee hitting the dash area during normal driving or when getting in and out of you Ram, you probably won't have a problem with a typical size brake controller installed either.

On my 09, I mounted mine below the key start. its at an angle, but my controller is able to be mounted that way. I'm a shorter guy, 5'9", I rarely hit with my leg. There probably is no ideal place unless you cut the dash where the factory integrated one would go...if yours fits.
Is there anywhere I can find a photo or image of the factory installation? I notice there is a small nook, just big enough to hold a wallet, just above the parking brake release. I thought about trying to remove or modify that to put the unit there.
