2017 ram 1500 When taking off a noise from rear of truck. like the caliper is sticking and then popping loose. At first i thought it was the spare but it wasn't. It does it in fwd and rev and almost everytime. Has 14,000. mi. Dealer will say they can't get it to do it so they can't fix it.

Could be a caliper sticking and popping loose.

Since your Ram is likely still under warranty, it's probably worth your time to have them look at it. You mention it makes the noise almost every time, so they should be able to duplicate the noise. You can request they ride with you so you can point out the noise to them when it does occur.

If it's under warranty, don't let them squirm out of an examination.....if nothing else, make the service manager (or even the sales guy who sold you the truck) take a ride with you so he can confirm & document your concern. Get a commitment out of them that if the truck goes down before they can "get to it", they will be liable for the tow and the loaner vehicle.
