I'm having problems with 2 key fobs locking/unlocking as well as the remote start not working at all, both have new batteries installed. I figured 2 keys can't have the same issue so is it possible for the module that receives the signal in the truck to go bad?

 

Yeah, it's possible. I don't recall heaving about it much, so I don't think it's very likely. Can't really offer much more suggestions though since you don't mention the year or model of your Ram. Check your owner's manual for which fuse or fuses could effect the remote keyless entry.

Do you have push button start or do you have to put the fob in an ignition key cylinder switch?

It's an 09 1500 Sport 4x4. Push button start on the key fob does nothing. I even took apart the key and put in a new battery and cleaned the contacts. Same for the other key. Lock/unlock kinda sorta works whenever it feels like it.

 

Fwiw i had 3 fobs go bad with my 09.
