Had the dash removed this past winter to install an actuator that controls where the heat goes (defrost , dash , foot etc ) . That works fine , but , the pass. side control now stays on cold and won't sync .

Does the dash have to come out again or is this one of those that is an easy DIY fix . ? Last one was $1500 as I did the evaporator core and heater core just because . The dash removal is a 6-7 hour job , hoping that doesn't have to happen again .
