Default Is there a way to test the TIPM

Hello,
I am having problems with my 09 ram 1500 5.7. I have BAS ESP traction control lights on on the dash plus my wipers will come on by themselves of stay on for an ecsessive amount of time if I hit the washers. My question is there a way to test the TIPM to be sure it’s the problem? I’ve tried the hard reset. I haven’t checked wheel speed sensors and antilock module.
I also have a crossfire that has a similar problem that could be fixed my resoldering a couple parts on the board. Is that an option??
thanks for the help,
mine

The tire sensors work. I was checking to see if anyone had taken the tipm out and either replaced the bad chips or if anyone had found an issue with bad solder jobs etc.
thank you though

From the reading I've done, solder joints and sometimes faulty relays are the common issues that cause TIPM problems. With that said that, I don't recall reading that wiper issues have been commonly attributed to the TIPM.

I found it mentioned on a couple pages. I don’t have the abaility to go back to at the moment. I very busy the next couple weeks but I’m going to double check the wheel speed sensors and the abs sensor to make sure that’s not the problem.
After that I will probably pull out the tipm and look for any faults and then move forward. Thank you though for your help

There are several youtube videos of guys pulling the PC board out of the TIPM & re-soldering the joints to fix a variety of problems. Sometimes you have to have a magnifying glass to see the cracks in the solder. I just did a similar repair to the turn signal relay on my jeep grand Cherokee.

I was a little surprised with the number of people having issues there are not really any videos or articles of people at least taking it apart and trying to fix. There is a similar and we’ll know solder issue with the Chrysler crossfire. I’ve had to resolder a board but, oh well if I find a fix I’ll post it

The video I remember watching was related to the relays which are soldered to the TIPM board (I think it was a 4th gen, but don't remember for sure) that turn on the headlights. It showed the tricks on taking the box apart as well as where the suspect joints were.
