Default Noise after using 4x4 auto

2013 ram sport 5.7 hemi with afe cold air intake oiled.
used 4 wheel drive auto than back to 2 wheel drive and now i have a sound that sounds like big mudder tires. I don't have mudder tires and I've never had this noise until I used the 4x4 auto. Any ideas what it could be? It's only when I'm moving. This was the first time I used the 4x4 auto. I just bought this truck and just had the passenger cv axle replaced.

Did the 4wd or 4Low light go off on the dash? If you turn a tight corner on hard pavement does it jerk (like it's still in 4x4 mode)? I had a similar issue over the weekend. It wouldn't go out of 4 Low no matter what I tried. I finally shut it off and let is set a while. Came back & when I first started it, the 4 Low light was still on, but as soon as I put it into drive, the light went out and the truck went back to 2wd. It was the first time I had used 4x4 since I bought the truck (4 months ago....and then it was just to see that it worked).
