2015 Ram 1500 9.25 ZF rear Dura-grip install
After noticing the one wheel spin in the rain it was decided to install the Dura-grip LSD (3 year old truck). Noticed at teardown the right side carrier adjuster screw was very tight! Had to back off left side adjuster to get carrier out. Went back to right side and turned the adjuster in to remove from case. Threads were galled and torn! This is from the factory- truck purchased new 2015! Bought new adjusters and had to rework thread inside case.
Has anyone had this experience?? How many are coming off the line this way??

I wonder where these axles are made? Seems like the quality of axles has sure gone down hill in the last few years. Rear end failure used to be pretty rare in average use pick ups, but not anymore.
What kind of money did that positrac unit run?

Purchased the Dura-grip for $345.00 from Drivetrain America. That was the best price after looking around.
Only problem is they sent the wrong one-early 9.25 axle. Let's see if I get the right one for that price??

Question about this Dura-grip. Is this basically the OEM LSD clutch type or is it different? My 2015 does not have factory LSD and i'm considering aftermarket options. I'd prefer the Eaton truetrac i installed on my 3rd gen but these look to not be available on the new 9.25 axles. Just curious on this dura-grip and why you chose to go with it?

Thought about the Auburn but decided on the Dura-grip instead because it's just for street use and winter weather.
