Apologies if that has already been covered.

My 2015 durango RT has a center white dashed line which would indicate where the hitch is when backing up.

My 2015 Ram laramie with tow package and trailer brake controller does not have this line. Is there a way to add it? Not a huge deal, but it would be nice.

 

newer truck you can go into settings and turn the grid lines on or off. maybe that option is present on a 15

 

I think that just toggles the side colored lines on / off?

 

Can't you see the hitch itself in the camera? I can see mine on my 2018

 

I can. It's not that it is a problem not having the center dashed line - its more of a question of why they are different? People are far less likely to use a hitch on a durango than a Ram. My durango isn't our tow vehicle (though i have towed once with it) but my Ram is. They are also the same uconnect system, so i would think if my 2015 durango RT has this ability, my 2015 laramie system would as well.

There are times in different lighting conditions that i have a hard time seeing the hitch ball. Having the center white dashed line would help.
