Default 66RFE vs 68RFE question

I'm seriously thinking about a trade of my 2018 2500 4X4 Longhorn for a 2017 3500 4X4 Longhorn because I need the added payload capacity.
MY QUESTION is the 2017 I'm looking at has the 66RFE 6 speed automatic trans and my 2018 has the 68RFE 6 speed automatic trans.
WHATS the difference? ANY problems with the 66? I see where RAM does not offer the 66 on new 2019 Diesels.
The 2017 I'm considering has 44K on the clock.
THANKS!

Are they diesels? They only use the 66rfe in the Hemi trucks.

Thanks for the response!
Yes both are diesel.
I'm having the seller of the 3500 provide me a build sheet to confirm drive train and options
