2018 Ram 1500 alarm system

I guess that depends on what you mean by "alarm," "anti-theft," and "noise maker." If you only have keyless entry, then "No" it's not anti-theft. If you have an alarm and mean it will notify you of unauthorized entry attempts, such as a door being opened without being first unlocked with a key or the unlock button, then yes, the factory alarm is anti-theft. If by "anti-theft" you are asking if it prevents someone from driving off with your truck if they don't have a programmed key, then not really. That's the function of the transponder key and immobilizer system, but not so much related to the "alarm." However, the alarm and immobilizer work in conjunction with one another and complement each other.
You can test the "alarm" function by rolling a window down, locking the doors with the fob or the Lock button, wait a minute or so (might have an exit delay), reach through the open window and pull the handle to open the door from the inside. If the horn starts to honk and the lights flash, the alarm feature has been triggered.
