installing led bulbs into stock tail light housings
on this 2016, whos done it? and if a new relay is necessary to stop the hyper fast blink, can i get that number as well? maybe upgrade to a full led board later, but just looking for bulbs now. thanks -jake
There's at least one other thread here regarding switching the taillights to LEDs. In one of those threads there is mention of a wire that FCA ingeniously includes under the hood, and if that wire is connected to ground, it avoids the hyper flash when LEDs are installed without the need to install load resistors. With that said, the original poster of that thread has been unsuccessful in finding said wire, but since it's mentioned in an FCA technical bulletin (not just a rumor) it should exist.
You may want to track down that thread and see if the bulletin also would apply to your 2016 Ram. As a side note, a relay won't solve the hyper flash. I think you meant "resistor."

I bought LEDs from Diode Dynamics. AWESOME customer service and fast shipping. They make kits specific for our trucks. Plus they are fairly priced. You will need the Anti-flicker module to make sure the lights won’t throw a code and cut off for low voltage.
