Default Lost cruise control after dash removal

The evaporator core in my 2011 ram 2500 6.7 crew cab went out, and removal of the dash was required was to fix it.

After getting the truck back the cruise control light would come on but not engage, I returned the truck to the mechanic and he has had it in his shop for 2 days and cant figure out the problem.

Any ideas?

If the shop has a decent professional grade scan tool they should be able to monitory, real time, the button presses of the cruise control to determine if the module recognizes the "Set", etc. buttons. Obviously the "On" button is being recognized. While knowing if the buttons are being recognized won't fix the issue, it will at least give the tech an idea if the issue lies between the button and the module or within/after the module.
