low battery volt light
2015 ram 1500 tradesman 4w/d 3.6
My low voltage light came on so replaced the battery.....battery probably original
still on
tested at just over 12 volts with the key out of the ignition
tested just under 12 volts with truck running and lights, blower motor on
I used my meter to conduct test
what may be the problem

It sounds like the alternator is not working properly. The "battery" light in vehicles is better defined as a "check charging system" indicator since it rarely comes on solely for a battery issue. Typically that light will indicate an issue with the alternator or connections for the alternator.
